Why use this

The key words of the water cycle in a short passage about something every child has seen: a puddle that disappears.

A gap makes the reader use the sentence around it. The word bank keeps the task about meaning, not spelling.

How to run it

  1. 1.Read the passage aloud with the gaps. Ask what kind of word is missing.3 min
  2. 2.Students fill the gaps, then read the passage again to check.8 min
  3. 3.Mark from the key.2 min
