Why use this
A circuit keeps every student moving at once and lets each one work at their own level. The easier and harder lines on every card are how that happens without the teacher running to eight stations.
Recording how the body felt, not just how many, is the health part. Students notice their heart rate and breathing change and start to connect effort with feeling.
How to run it
- 1.Walk the circuit. Show each movement once with the cue words on the teacher notes page.6 min
- 2.Groups of three or four start at different stations. 45 seconds on, 20 seconds to move.10 min
- 3.After one lap, students record their numbers and how they feel.3 min
- 4.Second lap. Choose easier or harder at each station this time.8 min
- 5.Make your own: design station nine in pairs. Best three join the circuit next lesson.3 min
